Best Day Trips from Milan

Milan's northern Italian location and excellent rail connections make it one of Europe's best bases for day trips. The Italian Lakes — Como, Maggiore, Lugano, and Garda — are all accessible within 90 minutes, offering some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe amid bellagio villages, villa gardens, and lake ferry cruises.
