Milan Nightlife Guide
Milan's nightlife is both Italy's most sophisticated and most international — a city where the aperitivo tradition has evolved from a pre-dinner drink into a full cultural institution, and where the concentration of fashion, music, and creative industries has produced a nightlife scene of genuine depth. The Navigli district is the aperitivo epicentre, where bars line both canals and happy hour extends from 6pm to 10pm with free food accompaniments. Brera has the most elegant cocktail bars, while the Moscova and Isola neighbourhoods attract a younger, more creative crowd. For clubs, the Tortona and Porta Romana areas host the most prestigious events, particularly during design week (Salone del Mobile) when Milan's nightlife reaches its annual peak.
